Definition

 

ज्या गोष्टीला आपण पाहू शकत नाही किंवा स्पर्श करू शकत नाही,  परंतु केवळ मनाने कल्पना करू शकतो, विचार करू शकतो,  किंवा जाणू शकतो, आशा स्थितीच्या,  वृत्तीच्या,    गुणाच्या, भावनेच्या, कल्पनेच्या, किंवा विचार पद्धतीच्या नावास  "भाववाचक नाम" असे म्हणतात. भाववाचक नाम मूळच्या  नामा पासून स्वतंत्रपणे वेगळे करणे शक्य नसते. म्हणजे आपल्याला दिसत नाही, परंतु  इतर ज्ञानेंद्रियांना करते. भौतिक अस्तित्व जाणवले नाही तरी पण आपण या प्रकारच्या नामाचा विचार करू शकतो.

एखादी कल्पना, गुण यांचा उल्लेख करणारे, इंद्रियगोचर वस्तूचा उल्लेख न करणारे असे नाम, उदाहरणार्थ ߵचांगुलपणाߴ,,किंवा ߵस्वातंत्र्यߴ; भाववाचक नाम.

सामान्यतः  भाववाचक नामाचे तीन गट पडतात.

1] गुणदर्शक =wisdom, loyalty, courage.

2 ]स्थिती दर्शक =childhood, freedom, poverty.

3 ]कृती दर्शक=movement, laughter,  theft

 भाववाचक नामा पूर्वी सहसा  कोणतेही  the   उपपद वापरत नाही.

 भाववाचक नामाचा उपयोग सर्वसाधारण अर्थाने केला तर दि हे उपपद  येणार नाही परंतु  विशिष्ट अर्थाने वापरल्यास उपपद येईल

1) courage  is  a good quality.

2)  the courage of Abdul Hamid was great.

In modern English grammar, the nouns are   broadly divided into two groups  or   categories.    They are countable nouns and uncountable nouns.  They are plural in form.

 

 Countable nouns= countable nouns are those  which can be counted.

 For example

Names of people, object, pen, book,  horses ,  elephant ,boy, girl ,banana ,apple children ,a dog.

 

 Cncountable nouns=  uncountable nouns are the names of thing which we   can't count.  The do not have plural forms.

 For example

 Sugar , gold , oil, kerosene, sincerity ,honesty, air ,water.

Abstract nouns are defined as a type of noun that you can’t see, touch or otherwise directly experience by any of the human senses. These nouns represent an aspect, concept, idea, experience, state of being, trait, quality, feeling, or other entity that can’t be experienced with the five senses.
